Nacida en Madrid (España), la actriz Carmen Santamaría comienza a actuar desde muy joven en teatro tanto amateur como profesional, así como en distintos programas de TV. Con una formación integral en Arte Dramático y licenciada en el 2002 por la Universidad de Kent en Canterbury, ha trabajado bajo la dirección de Vicente León en distintos montajes como " Casa de Muñecas" de Ibsen y " El séptimo sello" de Woody Allen. También ha actuado con Luis d´Ors en "El botarate del oeste" de Synge y Carlos Marchena en " Danzad, Danzad malditos”. Pudimos verla en el Teatro Calderón de Madrid, así como en una extensa gira por España, con "101 Dálmatas, El Musical". Producción de Luís Álvarez que le abrió las puertas al mundo del teatro musical infantil, con posteriores producciones como "Merlín el encantador", "Oniria", “ Garfiel”, "Dónde está el lobo feroz, etc Recientemente ha colaborado en la serie "Cuestión de sexo " emitida por Cuatro, así como en distintos spots publicitarios, y continúa haciendo teatro de la mano de Quenval Artística S.L.
Born in Madrid, Spain. The actress Carmen Santamaría started acting at a very young age, working in both amateur and professional theatre and also appearing in various TV. programs. Trained in drama with a BA Honours degree in Performing Arts from the University of Kent (Canterbury) in 2002, she has worked under the directions of Vicente León on several plays such as “A Doll's House” by Ibsen and “The Seven Seal” by Woody Allen, and also with Luis d´Ors in “The Playboy of the Western World” and Carlos Marchena in “ Danzad, Danzad malditos” (“They Shoot Horses, Don't They?”). Appearing in the Calderon Theatre (Madrid) and touring extensively through Spain with Luís Álvarez's production of “101 Dalmatians”, opened the doors for Carmen to the world of children's musical theatre. Carmen has been seen performing in “Merlin el Encantador” (“Merlin the Magician”), “Oniria”, “Garfiel”, “¿Dónde está el lobo feroz? (“Where is the ferocious wolf?), etc. Recently, she has collaborated in the TV series “Cuestión de sexo” (“About Sex”) aired on Spanish channel “Cuatro”. Furthermore, Carmen has performed in television adverts while continuing stage work with Quenval Artística S.L.
